I was contracted to work on a Volkswagen advertisement through the agency Steelhead in Los Angeles. The goal was to evoke speed and motion through motion graphics, so I thought a kinetic type was the perfect solution. I created a full alphabet of moving text that would make it easy to give life and movement to whatever string of text calls for it. Each letter’s strokes combines and fills in to match exactly the standard font that VW uses for all their official media.
