My time at NBC Sports in Connecticut had been a formative period, working on various properties in 2015 and 2016, from the Kentucky Derby, the NASCAR Series, to the 2016 Olympics. During my time there, I primarily worked as a motion graphics artist on promotional lower thirds and end pages for the cable feed. From time to time I was invited to create looks and treatments and iterate on ideas for new properties.
I was tasked to work on a retro CRTV concept for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, making a unique look that could be reproducible across multiple promotions and spots. The Kentucky Derby required a look that was more inspired by Southern living and style magazines. My treatment was chosen and I developed the graphics for that final spot.
