The STIIIZY downtown Los Angeles flagship store has a grand showroom with dozens of products on display. The lobby was a mostly bare and clean space with a reception desk and an Instagram backdrop. But the space in between was the perfect place to create a spectacular transition, welcoming you into the space. This short hallway houses 4 short-throw projectors covering the walls and ceiling with custom content that I designed.
With After Effects, I combined shimmering 3D geometry and bleeding ink effects to tell the story of a group of travelers going though a vision quest and coming out on the other side changed. Glowing lights on faceted walls give way to an ocean of vibrant flowing liquid, transitioning between rigid structure and fluid, organic texture.
